Babysitting!

So a little information about this babysitting stuff. Jensen could not keep his pants up! Also he refused to pull them up himself so he would waddle around asking you to pull them up for him. Most of the time he would leave them down until I pointed out that he needed to pull them up.

The crafty bug

Yes, its true. I have been doing a bit of crafting lately. I have been really antsy lately and haven't been able to sit still. Savers and Goodwill have been a weekly stop for me. Last week I found these ugly things.

And turned them into this! :) All this needs is a little cobwebs and it will be legit. 2 legit 2 quit.
I decided that I wanted to decorate my cube as well. I have worked here 4 years and its always been kinda blah. I think I MIGHT work better if it is a little brighter.

Long weekend

I took a long weekend and headed out of the city! I love getting up into the small towns. I can't wait to live in a small town one day. I don't know how I will afford it, but its something I want to do.
It started with Thursday night going to Saffor to watch Dallins football game. They didn't win but it was a good game. My dads Uncle Tony was there and it was good to chat with him a bit.

Lindsey and her friends.
After the game I went to La Casita with Natalie Allred for dinner. So fun to chat about boys and school! We had many good laughs about all the happenings there in Thatcher.
After dinner I headed to Morenci and stayed the night with my old, and my favorite, roommate, Heather Lee. Her and her husband recently moved to Morenci while Terry finishes up school. It was so much fun to catch up with her. They have a son Titan and he is growing up SO FAST! I am sad that I didn't think to take a picture. :(

Friday morning I headed up to my parents house. I have always wanted to take the coronado trail but always traveled at night, had to be somewhere at a certain time or had someone else with me. SO I TOOK IT! The drive was beautiful, especially with all the changing leaves.

What the COW?

I had to stop and take a picture.

Don't you LOVE my pants? haha

See the red in my hair? I luv it.

cruising through alpine.

Fall colors.

Friday nights in Eagar is just the same as any other small town. HS FOOTBALL. Before the game we had a tailgate party put on by Rand and Karen. It was fun.

I love my mommy.

To support the mini cheer girls we bought pins that say I heart football. I asked if they had an I heart crafting but they didn't. Darn. They didn't have anything that said go bulldogs either. (we were playing safford bulldogs) I figured if I had to lie and say I heart football I might as well lie and support the wrong team.
My HS friend Lauris was at the game and it was fun to catch up with her. I also got to spend time with my best friend Keara a few times over the weekend and that was fun! I was able to see so many people and I think thats what made it such a good trip!
Me, Tyrell,Kylie, Dallin
Saturday morning we went up near big lake to haul in a few loads of wood. Normally I help the boys but they had enough help so it was fun to sit and watch.

Saturday night Lindsey and I went to EL RIO! We hadn't been there since middle school. There is 1 movie per weekend and 1 showing per night. Turns out they only show the movie if they can make enough money to pay the employees. So we had to wait until there were enough people there to pay $63. haha At $5 a ticket we volunteered to pay for 2. Luckily enough people came that we didn't have to.

When we came out of the movie my car had been tagged. Awesome. Thank you Dallin, Tyrell, and Kylie. You stooges will pay!

I have been eating soup for days. Guess what is in my lunch today? SOUP. It's tasty, but seriously. This is one of the experiences that reminds me of why I don't cook. When you cook for 1 you ALWAYS have too much foooooood. always. always. always. I just have to think that cute lil black babies would LOVE to have this food and I would LOVE to adopt those cute lil black babies so I should eat it for them and maybe I will get to adopt one in the future. Then I can tell them about the times I ate soup for days, just for them. Then there was that one time that I made WAAAAY too much spaghetti and had to eat that too.

Have you ever felt that you wanted 2 opposites so desperatly that it was driving you crazy? Imagine a RED crayon that LOVED LOVED LOVED being a red crayon but reeeeeeally reeeally really wanted to be a blue crayon because then it could color the sky and the water and pretty blue dresses. Every once in a while RED crayon will see a blue crayon and while loving its redness have a twinge of sadness about what it was missing out on by not being a blue crayon. yes, this has a point. Lets say MaryAnn is a crayon and the color RED represents single life. All the vibrant exciting moments of the single life. So that would make blue be "not single" right? Not only not single, but a mom. Seeing kids go to school for the first time. Staying away from the house at a slumber party for the first night and gaining their independence. Loosing a first tooth. Dealing with the first boyfriend. Cuddling after a bad dream in the middle of the night. I am not baby hungry, but CHILD hungry! weird. Maybe its all this crafting and cleaning that I have been up to that makes me think I would LOVE to have kids running around my house. All in good time right. I just don't want to miss out. If your a mom PLEASE don't take all that for granted.

Soup, Crafts and Pumpkins.

OOOOOOKAY. What did I decide to do last night? Take a left over chicken carcass and make soup out of it. FROM SCRATCH. CHICKEN NOODLE SOUP. I remember my mom making soup, like this, for us when we were kids. I had 2 chicken remains left and wanted to do something "fallish" to help me forget about how HOT it is outside in the middle of OCTOBER.

Here I am with all my vegetables and chicken.WHY? Because I am Mern, Thats why.

Smelling the aroma from my soup. I was amazed at how the bones feel apart and the meat fell into the soup. It took awhile to pluck out all the chicken bones and skin.
I was thinking it would be fun to make a chicken soup, take all the bones out, clean them, and put them back in for a Halloween meal. :)
As I was cooking I was thinking about the book Stone Soup. Did anyone else read that one growing up? haha

Lindsey gives it a thumbs up!! When Lindsey first moved in she was scared to try my food. Now she begs me to cook. I am not saying I am GREAT at it, but things turn out okay.

My Project.
I have this white couch in my bedroom. Above it hangs a few large black and white Audrey Hepburn photos. I wanted to tie the couch in somehow so I was thinking of tying each of the pillows with a black ribbon. I liked the effect but it looked a little plain. So then I added some charms and jewels. There is a close up below. Its just not turning out exactly how I would like it to. Maybe I need to attach some pearls? another idea is to find a thinner ribbon that is black and white zebra and run that down the center of the black ribbon. ANY IDEAS? HELP.

Pumpkin Carving

Friday night Elicia and I went over to trisha's house and carved pumpkins. They turned out great and we had a fun time. Trisha spread a tarp out in her front room and we carved them inside. That was different, and fun!

Road Kill

Brown Camry License plate: 822 VSK

The guards wanted me to let you know that there is a cat stuck under your car. Please ask one of the guards for assistance if you need it prior to driving your car.

--Denise Birling, Vice President, Northeast Online Campus

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This was an email I received today subject line if this is your car.

It came into my inbox a few hours ago and I still can't get over it. The email brings on so many question. I wish I was one of the security guards that found this. I think everyone knows I am not an animal person AT ALL so the fact the animal is dead isn't of concern to me. I can just imagin the security guard nudging his co-worker and saying, "dude, is that a cat! Oh my gosh thats a cat stuck under that car. WoW. I can't imagine how that happened. That schmuch doesn't even know that they hit a cat and its stuck UNDER THEIR CAR."
I like that the offered to be of assistance if need be. They just wanted to be there when someone realized there was a cat under their car.

I ate subway and went to the post office

Is this what its coming to? Today on my lunch break I was waiting at a red light and saw a Hummer delivering Dominoes pizza. HOW CRAZY IS THAT? Seriously if you drive a hummer you shouldn't be delivering pizza. The only thing that I could figure is that the economy is effecting people this way. I can't imagine the life changes they have had to make in this case. I feel so bad for the small towns in the mid west that have been effected by factory closures and downsizing. I know people here in Arizona are effected by the changes but I don't think that it is anything compared to other states. Yes our housing situations have been effected but it could be worse.

It's hard to say where everything began. So many people blame Bush for the situation we are in. I know that something this terrible could not be created by 1 man alone. The situation we are in is OUR fault. It takes all of congress, not just a president, to make changes. Its our own fault that we live outside of our means and don't make sound financial decisions. Sure there are cases where people have had plain rotten luck but for the most part that is not the case.

I can't wait for the day that Obama decides that this is no longer a campaign. This is no longer a popularity contest. It is time for him to be alone in his office and make the hard decisions that he was elected to make. It seems to me that he can't get over the fact that campaigning is more fun than actually being President. To me it looks like he is going to goof around for as long as he can and continue to blame our bad situation on Bush. Super.

Happy Birthday!

It was Sister L's birthday on Monday. She is From Quebec and goes home in November. We are glad that we met her! We had a chips and salsa party and had different kinds of salsa and dips. We are dip freaks at my house so it was fun.

This is my creation. I got the idea online and it was easy to make. Carved pumkin plus Guacamole and TADA, puking pumkin.
Don't mind the miss but check out my witch hat lights! I LOVE them. They were on sale at party city for 5 bucks!

Here is some of the crew that came.
