i complain. much too often. i think it's my standby. if i'm uncomfortable, or there's a lull in the conversation--i'll start to complain. note to self: change this. immediately.

i am glad i wore dark jeans today

I lost in the fight with the sink.

i envy people who can use words in a way that excites the mind and touches the heart.

somedays i want to shed my skin and start over

the feel of the morning sets the mood for my entire day. this was a good morning.

creating a 30 before 30 list is on my to do list. i cannot do this because i am stuck pondering if i should put tasks i have already completed on this list. Ex. skinny dipping. books i have read. achievements.

Eating healthy is important. to me.

We had a great weekend! There was much family and food and fun! We attended the W.B. Eagar family reunion. It started out with a cook out at Pinky Turley's house. The next day we hung out at the park all day starting with breakfast, family meeting, and an auction. Later that night we all got together for dinner and a talent show. It was fun to see everyone that we haven't seen in years. The next day, Sunday we had Prestons Farewell.
It was fun to have the Ricks' with us! They are great about coming to all the family get togethers!!

I am going to miss this guy so much! He has been such an examply to me in my life, even though he is the younger brother!! Its hard to think of him as being so grown up. I once introduced him to a lady friend of mine as my little brother. He pulled me aside and said, mern, you can just call me your brother. I am older now and I am not so little. haha. He is off to serve in the Birmingham Alabama Mission. He is going to come back a fattie I think. If I miss him too much I just may have to fly down south to say hello and get some chicken.

Grandma and Grandpa Jensen made the trek down from Idaho with the Ricks'. They are so sweet and adorable! Best grandparents anyone could ask for.

We went up Big Lake road a bit to go shooting. Being up there brought back some memories in high school where we were shooting off a fire extinguisher.... Good times.

Saturday we all went out shooting. Tyson just bought a new gun and wanted to try it out. here is Lindsey shooting Dads Glock. I think its a 45. ( I don't know gun talk)

Sara and Dad's Shotgun! Whoa woman! Note to self, never make Sara mad when there is a gun around....
(She wouldn't hurt a flee.)
My adorable sister in Laws! I am so thankful they made their way into our family!!
Put on your mean face kim!! :)
I didn't hit a one clay pigeon. They are just to fast for me. It was fun anyway.

Elly and I rode the 4-wheeler home and got caught in a downpour!! The rain, which I normally love, Turned into bullets! It hurt so bad. That night I ran into a family friend and he said, Um was that you riding the 4-wheeler in the storm? You were laughing hysterically and whoever was behing you looked terrified. LOL.
I had to laugh or I would cry.

The bro (not little bro) Dallin. Thanks for letting me ride the 4-wheeler home in the rain. I think he knew it was going to rain and thats why he let us take it. sneaky little...

ummm.... Yeah. Sometimes the family meetings aren't that interesting so we need to make our own fun....

I LOVE Aunt Winnie. She is the sweetest spirit! I think she was quite the spunky little missy in her day. She confided in me that sometimes she sneaks off on her own to visit Uncle Leon. Leon is her husband that is in a home about an hour away. She isn't allowed to go by herself, but she does!! That would be so hard to have the love of your life so close but then again so far.

Me and Miss Chloe. She is as cute as a button.
Chilling at the park during the reunion. Aunt Bev was great about figuring out how all my dads family fit together. Gram and Gramps know a ton of that side of the family already.

Like I said, It was a great weekend. Eagar is such a beautiful place and I would love to move back there one day to raise a family. There is just something about a small town that you don't get here in the valley. I don't need all the shopping malls and great restaurants.

Dear Obama

Independence is happiness.
Susan B. Anthony
Maybe someone should fill Obama in.........

Getting very excited!!!

Its official.... Lindsey and I received our passports last night from the boys in blue. AHHHH! That means we can leave the country! SWEET. Not only do I get to go to Egypt but now I can leave for Mexico whenever I want. This brings a smile to my face. Bring on the beach, tacos and mariachi bands. There is nothing better than John Mayer in the ipod and my toes in the sand watching the sunset. Viva la Mexico.

Very excited about Egypt as well. We leave September 9th and return on the 22nd. There are a few things I want to do while I am there. Number uno is RIDE A CAMEL. I just hope it doesn't spit on me. Other things are

Pyramids
Red Sea
Felucca ride on the nile
Head over to Jerusalem to check out the Wailing wall
There is a HUGE market for shopping and I forget what it is called
Pedicure, they are cheap cheap. I want a different one EVERYDAY.
Go to the LDS branch over there ( mom informed me I get to give a talk...bleh)
PARTY PARTY PARTY with cousin Sarah and her BOY.
Go to the Village where Uncle Adel grew up.

So thats the plan and we should be able to complete all that in the time over there. I have the plane ticket paid for with a thousand dollars and the promise of my first born child. Now I just need to save up spending money. I want plenty of spending money. I am only going to be there once in my life so I don't want to feel restrained. Does anyone want a soveneir? :)

It finally clicked!

Wow! Its weird how satan knows just how to get to me and I just barely realized it! Its okay though because its good that I know now. I love to play. I go and go and go everyweekend and I come back to my life every monday just as tired as I can be. I am not a happy person when I get tired. I am grumpy and miserable. I also have noticed that I am a lot harder on myself when I am tired. My mind doesn't stay straight and i start thinking badly about myself. So lots of negativity comes from something as fun as a trip to Eagar. I am going to be more selective from now on about my traveling and stay home more often so I am not so worn out and grumpy.

Music for the heart

I am very much a musical person. I was having an interesting day yesterday and these 2 songs really hit me. Its weird how you understand a song in a different way when you are going through different things in your life.

Song for him

I got a new lifeYou would hardly recognize meIm so gladHow can a person like me care for youWhy do I botherWhen youre not the one for meIs enough enoughI saw the sign and it opened up my eyesI saw the signLife is demanding without understandingI saw the sign and it opened up my eyesI saw the signNo ones gonna drag you upTo get into the light where you belongBut where do you belongUnder the pale moonFor so many years Ive wonderedWho you areHow can a person like you bring me joyUnder the pale moonWhere I see a lot of starsIs enough enoughI saw the sign and it opened up my eyesI saw the signLife is demanding without understandingI saw the sign and it opened up my eyesI saw the signNo ones gonna drag you upTo get into the light where you belongBut where do you belongI saw the sign and it opened up my mindAnd I am happy nowLiving without youIve left you all aloneI saw the sign and it opened up my eyesI saw the signNo ones gonna drag you upTo get into the light where you belongI saw the sign and it opened up my eyesI saw the sign

Song for her
Fake, you're a genuine loser
You're a fake, you're counterfeit cool
You're a fake, a professional user
You're a fake
My world would be better without a fake
I try to keep faithIn the emperor's clothes
To me you're just naked
I guess I like the stage show
If I give up pleasure Will I lose the pain
I think it'd be worth it
Next time I'll find the real thing
You're a big drama queen
You don't know who you want to be
You're so lame
I think you'd do anything
Just to get what you need

MEP 2009

Well I figure its time to report on MEP. It was grand as always! I am so thankful that this reunion was started so that I could get to know all my cousins! There are so many! Its hard to keep all of their kids straight! They are all adorable though. I have a great family! Its all due to the fact that Grandma and Grandpa taught their kids how to behave and do what is right. Then they passed all that onto us! So guess what we will do? PASS IT ON! :) The circle of life. sigh. I suppose I will just help teach the nieces and nephews till I get a few munchkins of my own. I am in no rush. We had MEP at Cub canyon this year right by a roaring river! It was very load but it put you right to sleep at night! Everything was so green. The talent show was a lot of fun. Sarah, Val, Lindsey and I put a skit together and that was a lot of fun to practice and brain storm. I was disappointed that we couldn't get grandma and grandpa to do the 3 wooded pigeons. That is always my favorite. :*( Maybe next year.
Brian is the man.

Eating dinner! Yum.

Wouldn't it be grand to live here?

What a hot mama!

Nice sunset.

I have a thing for this type of picture.

coolio

Grandparents are amazing!!!

Mom taking some ZZZZZ's on my new couch.

Uncle Jared brought a bounce house.

We went to the airplane crash. I was hoping to see a entire airplane. I was dissapointed.

Dawson got DIRTY!!! He was happy.

Meppers on the block.

Dad fixing the truck in Bountiful.

Seriously...This is how popcorn should always come! I was so happy.

Here we are doing our dance/skit thing.

I need a hero

Logan received my cutest kid award. He is a heart breaker!!

All the boys getting wood at Aunt LuJeans.

All the ladies getting wood. we mostly sat on the ground and ate popcorn.
Here are some other things I want to blog about that have been on my mind. I just don't have the time right now. Maybe another day....
1. when things going wrong in a relationship the person always claims the other person is "psycho"
2. What's with all the fake cops in the Utah towns.
3. poor mosquito that bit my bum.

Why by Limp Bizkit

I love this song. Life is good, I don't want to die any time soon.

WHY

It might take too long to turn the lights back on
I guess I lay awake, I guess I'll lay here and pray
Could you pour me one more drink? A glass of gasoline
Help me burn my pain, light me up in the rain
My so-called life is so good

Why do we die?
Why do we die?
Slow down

You wonder how I’ve been, you ain’t been checking in
Just hope my vital signs would send me home again
My baby’s in the grass, Jesus on the dash
I drive myself insane just hoping I could stay
My so-called life is so good

Why do we die?
Why do we die?
Slow down

Slow down, slow down, slow down, slow down

When deserts turn into floods, White orchids cover with mud
No magic carpet today, not today
Who takes the reigns when I’m gone disintegrate from my throne?
No magic carpet today, not today

Why do we die?
Why do we die?
Why do we die?
Why do we die?

Family Wards

I have been in a singles ward for so long that I forget the goodness of it. Roommate Julie and I went to a family ward together to listen to the homecoming talk of our Friend Jordan Roth AKA Padawon. I can't believe he has been gone 2 years already been thats a different story. Julie and I found a few things that we miss about the family ward.
1. It is supposed to be little reverent boys passing the sacrament, not our friends
2. Seeing the little fingers and eyes peering curiously over the bench to the excitement going on at the bench behind them
3. There was a mother and her kids and she had the blocks of wood with the holes all along the edges. The wood was in the shapes of flowers and animals. Then they took a shoe lace and went in and out of all the holes. What a great quiet activity. We looked over and busted up laughing when the dad had a block of his own and was weaving away. haha He was entertained with it long after the 2 children had moved on.
4. How un-quite it is during the sacrament.
5. All the cute little girls in their best dresses.
6. All the chubby little babies.
I think that was all that we came up with. I left the list in my scriptures. We aren't in any rush to get into a family ward but it was nice to visit. We HEART our singles ward very much.

Not all of us can travel by bubble!

My dream come true, again.

I attended Wicked last night and LOVED it. We got incredible tickets on the 5th row, center stage. Seriously the best seats in the house. I could see the spit flying out of the performers mouths. Incredible. At a few points in the show I was crying. Why would I cry, I never cry. All the music gave me chills and goose bumps. I was taken back to when I was 10 and it was Christmas morning. Being so close I was really able to see the face expressions. In the beginning when everyone is celebrating the wicked witch's death you can see that GA-linda was bothered by all the things they were saying about Elphaba.

I loved all the twists and turns and how they incorporate everything about the Wizard of Oz into it. The ending is perfect.

I bought a T-shirt and a magnet. I have heard lots of people say they collect magnets from all the shows they go to so I think I am going to start doing that as well. That way you can always remember which ones you have seen, but don't have to spend oogles of money on a souvenir. I did buy a shirt and feel crappy about it today. Its just a silly T-shirt but it was SO expensive . They are not worth it to buy, you just get caught up in the emotions of it all.

I think its funny that they serve beer and wine at the show. I assume that's the only way men can get through the performance.
Here is the picture we got yelled at for taking. Seriously people, we didn't even take a picture of your precious copyrighted display. If you have a copyright on my face then I would love to see some royalties from that.
Look how many people are behind us, and thats just in the orchestra pit. Our tickets said VIP, thats right baby.
Our friends Monica and Lance. This was their first show EVER. They were pretty excited...well, she was pretty excited.

Greg and Brooke

Tyby and kimmie

I met someone... He is great. He doesn't talk much which is just how I like em.

We were singing the songs. Julie looks like a white chinese.

We parked right by the toy hauler.

I think I will go see this every time it comes near me. It is just that awesome.

THE TINFOIL TORNADO....You can bet I individually wrapped each and every pen. Each piece of paper he had on his desk. His phone, headset. THE WHOLE NINE YARDS. I love pranks....

I LOVE AMERICA

Happy 4th of July everyone! I think the 4th is one of my favorite holidays! Its not all about buying gifts for people, or doing secret things. It doesn't take TONS of preparing. Its just about good ol' American spirit. Everyone gathered at the homeland for the festivities this year. I brought a few friends along. I love to share the goodness of the small town because everyone does such a good job at celebrating. On the agenda was The Lake, Parade, Fireworks, Rodeo, Cook out at Haws Park, Dinner with the Reece family, Pinata, See the farm animals, Bread and Beans from Aunt kathy, play games, and sleep outside. There were plenty of children around so its nice to get home to the peace and quite. There were SO MANY people in town this year. I have never seen it that busy. I wonder if people couldn't afford to go to far off places so they came and shared our mountain with us. Here are so pictures of the weekend...

Here is Elicia and her oldest Daughter Dakota on the tailgate at the fireworks. Eagar had a GREAT show this year. They were set off from the airport but we watched them at the golf course. It was the perfect place and we dodged 30 minutes of traffic. hooray!

Jakeb and Elicias youngest daughter Addison at the fireworks.

It was SOOOO good to see Natalie! I miss her guts!! Us girls at the fireworks.

Natalie also had some friends come into town for the Holiday. I knew some of them from MCC ward. Erin is on her right.

Dinner at the Reece's house. Here are the kids running after the candy from the pinata.

Jensen, Annie, and Grandpa trying to bust it.

Up at Haws park we had a great cookout. We cooked up the usual hamburger patties with bisquits and gravy. Kids played on the tire swings while adults talked and played horse shoes out in the pasture. It was the perfect weather and everything was so green!

On the 3rd we went to Lyman lake for the morning.

Thursday night after we arrived at home everyone passed out but Dallin and I. It had been raining for a few hours and we knew what that meant.....FROGS... so we drove around town catching frogs. We told ourselves we were saving them from being run over by cars. I kissed each and every one of them hoping for a Prince but no such luck...

After catching frogs we hunted down Prestons car and gave it a little wrap... haha.
