Thanksgiving.

This year we had thanksgiving at Trisha & Brynns house with our family and Brynns parents. It was fun. We missed Preston but hope that he had a great time in Alabama eating Chittlins (sp). GROSS.

Here is Steve carving the turkey. Boy it was good stuffed with Rosemary and Butter.

I was in charge of decorating the tables and had a good time putting it all together. :)

Watching Football

Max didn't even know he had a bow in his hair. :) He was all surprised when he found it.
After Thanksgiving meal Debbie put together a cookie exchange. It was really nice and we played some games for some gifts. She did a great job putting it all together. We went home with 6 dozen cookies! SO MANY.

Here is Sara fishing cookies out of her ummm... bra. haha. LOVE the face Sara.

First timers.

THE BLINDSIDE
Tori and Justin had never been to the drive-in! HOLY COW. I couldn't
believe it! So I got a group together and off we went. We watched The Blindside. It was FANTASTIC. First I just LOVE Sandra Bullock. She is one of my favorites. The best part was when she called a guy crotch mouth for being Vulgar. It was your normal feel good Friday night lights, Remember the Titans movie, only better because of Sandra.
Go see it.
You will love it.

What I am looking for.

"In my opinion, the best thing
you can do is to find a person
who loves you for exactly who
you are.
Good mood, bad mood,
ugly, pretty, handsome,
what have you, the right person
will still think that the sun shines
out your ass. That's the kind
of person that's worth
sticking with."

Phantom of the Opera

Last week or the week before I got to go to Phantom of the Opera! It was fun. Mom and Dad and Lindsey had tickets as well. Lindsey had an extra ticket so we invited Roommate Meagan to come along with us! For some reason we didn't by seats in the orchestra pit! WHY DIDN'T WE???? Mom and Dad did so they were on row 3 I think! I VOW to never by seats above orchestra again.
The musical was fun. The music is always enjoyable. I remember living with Jean Hammond and watching that movie over and over and over. Thats the only reason I know all the music and I am glad I did! The effects of the show were great and entertaining. HOWEVER I did fall asleep a few times but I think thats due to my busy schedule and early mornings. I give it to thumbs WAY WAY up.
Did it compare to Wicked and Legally Blonde? NEGATIVE.

Honest scrap

I have to admit, when Megs tagged Lindsey and not me I was jealous! Good thing Lindsey tagged me! lol

10 Honest things about myself.

1. I get sick of my jewelry in the middle of the day. I take it off and it collects on my desk and in my car. There is ALWAYS jewelry in my car.

2. I have problems moving on from friendships and such. Its like I can't tear off the rear view mirror. Even if I was offended, hurt, abused, disgused, I ALWAY wonder how that person is and have a nag to contact them and keep in touch.

3. I love my alone time and most often find myself the best company.

4. I love to decorate and am trying to turn a house into a home.

5. I may ignore you but its usually because I don't know what to say and feel awkward, not because I don't want to talk to you.

6. Having little people SCARES me. What happens if I don't know what to do with them or they need me to protect them and I can't? Who do they turn to then?

7.I LOVE red doors. I want a red door.

8. Working out at the gym relaxes my shoulders and makes my day 100% more comfortable.

9. I love Chicken. Some say its a poor mans food, But I think its GOLD.

10. I am always torn about going back to school. I want to go so that I can accomplish the degree and when people ask me my accomplishments I can lay that down. HOWEVER I don't want to go to school. I think I need to work at something else so I have other accomplishments to lay down instead. Accomplishments that will make me happy. I have 2 already! Ask me about it... I will tell you.

So now I tag people right?

The weekend is over already.

What a fun filled weekend! Friday night Trisha and Brynn invited us over to a Fall dinner party @ their house. They had friends from work and school over as well. 1 thing I appreciate about their friends is when they bring sides for dinner they bring things like hummus and pita. bagets and bruschetta. Its not potato salad and doritos. 1 thing I did not appreciate was the Veggie hot dogs. Thank you Brynn for the Beer Brats! YUM.

Saturday morning I got up wicked early for a saturday, 6 am, and went yard saleing with my new roommate Kara Palmer. We spent hours driving around Red Mountain Ranch. We had a blast and found many things that were on our list of needs! :) We were blessed to find a bed so that she could move in and have a place to sleep.

For lunch I met up with Dez from high school. I don't remember what her new last name is! Shoot! After lunch we went to Dave and Busters for a bit and played some Guitar Hero. I LOVE me some guitar hero!

Saturday night after moving Kara in we relaxed and watch Sydney White and had some pizza. It was nice to relax.
Sunday after sleeping in Lindsey and I headed over to Trisha and Brynn's house. Brynn made us DELICIOUS breakfast burritos. Trisha headed to work and the 3 of us watched the Cardinals game. It was a great game! After getting home I felt junky for being inside all day so went for a walk and then picked up the house a little bit. I have a lot of re-arranging to do since I am used to having so much space to myself and now I have to split it up with another person. It will be fun to learn how to share again. :)

Babysitting night.

Tyson and kim asked us to watch the kids last night while they went to the temple! They were WAY WAY excited to be over.... :) Jensen looks SO cute in my cap and scarf!

We went for a walk to get the mail. They couldn't understand why we would walk SO FAR away from the house.
When Tyson came back he helped me decide on how many lights I need to decorate outside!! I can't wait!! I Have some ideas and hope they work out! :)

Yesterday was plain awful.

Seriously. I wake up and the toilet in my bedroom isn't working. It still isn't. I am no plumber. I think nothing of it, shower and try to do my hair. My straightener isn't working! It won't turn on. I have had it for a good 4 years but didn't want it to EVER break. After work I head to the dentist and they let me know that I need a crown! A $800 crown at my age! PLUS I have to pay $285 for retainers. What the!?!?! I thought I paid you $2500 to fix my teeth and now they are fixed I have to pay for retainers to keep them fixed? Why not just add that into the upfront price? No matter how well I take care of my teeth it is NEVER enough. Can I please just have them all removed? Can I get fake teeth installed? Permanent ones that never break, and get cavities?

Boo to yesterday.

A Christmas Carol in 3-D

I loved it!! This was my first 3-D film that I remember watching. It was fun but sometimes my eyes got tired. There were times that you REALLY felt like you were flying. The film was a bit slow at times but it was okay because there was so much to look at and reflect on. Multiple times through the film I had to think back on my own life and see what I can change to live more fully and treat people better. Jim Carey did a great job. I was surprised when Colin Firth showed up as the nephew. His voice is dreamy.

So run out and see this movie and start your Christmas season of right! :)

Weekends

Fun weekend. Started out a little nasty with me being sick but I headed up to Eagar and felt a lot better. I had a major headache! I sat in the shower at midnight with the water so scalding hot that I could only think about how hot the water was and not how bad my head hurt. When I woke up in the morning the whole house was freaking out about how MaryAnn was taking a shower at midnight. haha Thursday night was the Amity Ward's Fall Feast for 55+. Mom and Dallin were a part of it so they invited me along. It was fun to see all the "old folks" from my ward. Thats one thing I miss about living in the valley is all the smiling faces! Everyone knows you and is glad to see you. Everyone in here is bound to beat you up if you smile at them. Boo to that, yes to small towns!

Friday I got to hang out with my Best Friend from High school Keara Dee Greer! We went to lunch and watch a movie and had a good time. Poor girl is on crutches again but she hobbles around great! She would give me a heart attack each time she would trip over something but she would just laugh like it was no big deal! I guess she is a pro on those things!! :)

Mom and Dad were the ward mission leaders a few months ago. This weekend they had one of the sister missionaries come back to visit. She was staying at are house with her mom. Dallin told her we would hang out so Friday night we were thinking of something to do. Dad thinks is a good idea to play cops and robbers. This is a game many have played with friends or in big groups, but probably NEVER with your parents. haha. Mom, Dad, Amy ( the visiting missionary) and her mom decide they will be the cops and Dallin, Tyrell, Kylie, and I will be the robbers. We didn't really feel like running around town in the cold so we put our heads together and decide to hide a car down the road and drive to our next destination while the cops are looking for us on foot. Doing this would 1. Allow the to feel like they were really looking for us and 2. allow us to not be FREEZING. It was fun. 1 round we talked the mom's into playing on the side of the robbers. Go figure that was the round that the REAL cops showed up and asked us what we were doing. I had to explain to him that we were hiding from my dad. He said "okay just wanted to make sure there wasn't trouble." haha. I found it funny that he didn't question why I was hiding from my dad. I was expecting him to say, "why, does he beat you?" But no, just making sure there was no trouble. Great. Mom eventually felt guilty about lying to dad and told him that we had used a car to get from point A to B.

Saturday morning we got up early and went to the Capital Christmas Tree cutting. Look it up if you don't know what it is. Dallin's Choir sang at it and Tyrell's dad operated the crane. I went along as a groupie. Tyrell let me borrow his beanie. I fit right in with the fence.

Saturday night we drove to Show Low to watch A Christmas Carol in 3-D. Doesn't Tyrell look great in my scarf?? LOL It was a GREAT show. Then we went to Kylie's Grandparents house to roast marshmallows. I felt like I was in high school again which was refreshing. hmmm... maybe that was because I was with high schoolers. LOL but it was way fun. For the Record Tyrell ISN'T in high school. IF he reads this I can see him getting bent out of shape for calling him a high schooler.

Dallin tripped over a rock.

I love the weekends. They never last long enough.
