Wish list

Kohls has a rug like this that is fantastic. I have almost bought it multiple times but I guess I was never in the "I want to spend huge bucks on 1 item" mood.

Doesn't the bird cage with candles look awesome?

A white hutch. I have the perfect robin egg colored wall to put it on. I love the white kitchenaid on top of it! LOVE.

A BB gun! I need this to practice my aim. I shot one this weekend and it was stellar.

This purple pillow. I just bought the perfect duvet cover and this pillow would be bombtastic.
A white table/Dresser for my bedroom. I have had my eyes open for one that I could paint white but haven't found it yet.

This table lamp from Ikea. I have the exact same floor one but need the complimenting table lamp

One of these cool lamps from ikea to hang over my jewelry station
An awesome belt sander for all the projects I want to do.

Home

Home. I spent my entire life growing up in the white mountains. I left just weeks after my 18th birthday to go to college. That time of my life was so much fun, but I always enjoyed going home to visit. Weekend trips home. Home for the holidays. Home for the summer. It was home. The treehouse, and paris flats were just houses I was staying in. Run down and shabby college housing stuffed full with 6 college girls.

This past weekend I went to my parents house, and then traveled home after the weekend. To my home. I always wondered when the switch would happen. When my current residence would become home and take the place of my childhood memories.  When I bought my house in Mesa I wasn’t expecting it to become home. I thought of it as another house I was living in with roommates. It wasn't even a conscience decision.I wasn't looking for it to happen, it just happened. My house has become my home.

Keara's wedding

This weekend Keara Browning became Mrs. Andrew Hogan.
5.19.2012
They had a beautiful ceremony up near Greens Peak.
Fun and bright colors, Antique goodness, bales of hay to sit on, good ol' country food.

She got to ride in on a PONY CART!
How awesome is that?

His little sign says here comes the Bride. So cute.
Her pops Elwin walking her down the isle.

They were nice at first, and then got cake everywhere.

They did a $$ dance and had money pinned all over their clothes.

There was a fun photo spot with different glasses and mustaches and such.

Danika and Quincy (Keara's friends) and I went up early saturday morning to get everything set up. Some of the families were their too doing their thing. We got it all set up pretty quickly and then hurried back into town to get ready.
The wedding was at 1 and the day was PERFECT. After the ceremony we hung around till about 5. They had fun games to play like ladderball, a horseshoe type game, and fun mad libs about the couple to fill out.
Jennifer Mistretta and Neely Talbot were there so it was fun to catch up with them. They are both married now but I am not sure of their married names. Jenny has 1 daughter and Neely has 2 sons! Crazy how time flies.

My feet were DIRTY by the end of the day. lol. Keara's wedding dress was about the same color about 2 feet all the way up from the bottom. haha that's a sign of a good time!

Mexico 2012

MEXICO!! I love this place. If I could go anywhere, within my budget, I would go to Mexico.
For 3 reasons.
1. It's cheap. $150 a night for a 2 bd room condo on the beach that can hold 8 people.

2. Fish tacos. Nuff said
3. It takes zero effort to get from the beach to the balcony. all day, just bounce back and forth. and maybe make a pit stop at the pool or hot tub.

And I just thought of another thing.. The amazing people. So thats 4 reasons why I love it.

We ate dinner one night at the lighthouse. It was good food but the drinks were PRICEY. The view was great! I had BOMB Jalapeno poppers. Never eaten something so spicy before.

Steve and Jeremy doing their thing.... Whatever that is

I think you'll find this look is normal for Jeremy
Here is the view from our balcony! It's epic. Now normally they railing wouldn't be in the way but I did that for affect to hold my little Gnome.  We were on the 3rd floow
Excuse our mess, but here is a bit of what the condo looked like. It was huge and super comfy! I don't think I have ever stayed in one that wasn't awesome.

Kristen, Jeremy, Mern, Randy, Steve
We never got a picture of the whole crew but this is everyone but Emily and Carrie

Crappers

Lately my nightly ritual has been to go outside and find, and kill, these little crappers. I do NOT want them to make their way into my house. Below is a picture Sarah took while we were out huntin.
GROSS.

I had never seen them under a black-light before but it was faaareaky.
So, each night I go out hunting and then I can't sleep all night because I am so freaked out they are in my bed with me.
My roommate was so freaked she had us go out and get some chickens. So we have little baby chicks that are going to grow up into mean scorpion fighting machines. We have high hopes they will produce some eggs for us along the way.

fun times

This girl encourages me to do the coolest things.
EAAAARLY one saturday morning we went on a hike with the Eden park ward, my old ward.Pretty much only the activities committee showed up. I think that's kinda sad that people don't get out and go to more activities. I am one to talk, I don't go to them all. probably because when I do there is no one there! There has got to be a way to make activities be cool. They just aren't cool. I am rambling... but we had SO much fun on this hike. It was in AJ and was miners draw or something like that. Then we had a picnic, but it was a FREEZING morning!
We MADE mozzarella sticks from SCRATCH! It was so good. Next time it will be even more amazing because it's always better the second time. I will add more spice to the bread crumbs and fry them at a lower temperature. Sonic aint got nothin on us... well okay maybe theirs are better, and WAY faster to have in my mouth but home made is fun.

Getting through work

It's little things like this that make it easier to get through a work day. A coworker drew this for me and left it on my desk. He also constantly throws coffee sticks at me. It's funny what entertains us while we are at work. Thank goodness for nonsense.

Beiber FEVER

You MUST watch this video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dTCm8tdHkfI. My roommate showed us this the other night and I loved it.

I don't blame her at all. He is ADORABLE. Sometimes we need to have a good cry about it.

Is it weird that sometimes I wish I could be a little drama queen like this? A little less uptight? A little more free with my emotions. There needs to be a happy medium, but I need more of this in my life.

The Nitty Gritty

I have to admit, we look pretty good in a stache. We don't even look like Chester Molesters.
The Easter Bunny brought us these loverly things. They actually came in handy at our FHE this week. It was CINCO DE MUSTACHE. I was hoping to show up and play pin the stache on the mexican, or braid the stache on the monopoly guy or pick the crumbs out of the stache but they didn't have ANY of those games! They did feed us some pretty good nachos tho so I can't complain.

Now side note, I don't know how these girls do it but they are ALWAYS dressed. I am not. I come home and put on work out clothes, or pajamas. Not even cute girl pajamas but hardcore "no one should see me in these" clothes. I guess I should work on that.

Bridal Showers

Heather Grant's bridal shower was last weekend. Tons of fun! The theme was 50's housewives. So we got all dressed up and headed out to dinner. My costume wasn't complete without the red lipstick. haha

We had dinner at BJ's and then went back to Jenn's house for presents and dessert.
I wish I had pictures of the male Mormon strippers that showed up. haha that was TOO funny.

Around midnight or so Sarah and I decided to go for a bike ride! Why not! The weather is awesome. and bikes are awesome.  and the neighborhoods around my neighborhood are awesome.

Painted Canvas

I have 5 canvas that I bought on Black Friday. I saw this thing below and want to do something similar. You put elmers glue, let it dry, and then paint over it. I have a vision of have 3 of them on the same wall to create a big piece of art. Only thing is I don't know where, and I don't know what. GAH!

Here are some print ideas that I found today while looking around. I could even get crazy and do the 3 canvas with the same print, just different colors, or just the opposite. Different pictures with the same color. Any suggestions of where any of these could go inside my house would be appreciated. If you haven't seen my house yet PLEASE invite yourself over. :)
