Friday

Oh how I love my Friday's! The adventure they hold each and every time are amazing and I am greatful for them!! Last friday was great fun! I had to get an oil change. UGH right? Who likes to get an oil change? I DO. I loaded up my bike, then my roommates bike, then TOLD her she should come on a bike ride with me. She agreed. So we dropped off my truck and rode our bikes around while we waited. We went to a yard sale and found an AMAZING light cover for $0.25!! Very exciting. Then we found some horses by the canal.
Julie Ann is convinced that the like her.

Then we planted some wild flowers on someones yard. I hope they grow for them and make them happy!!

Friday night was Elicia's Bachelorette party! I planned to do a dinner at her favorite restaurant, Claim Jumpers! Then we went to a comedy club! We had lots of laughs!
Isn't she beautiful!!

NICE cheese stick, girl.

We brought out our best faces for this night! :)
Here we are at JesterZ. I don't know why everyone didn't get in the photo. If you haven't been here, YOU NEED TO GO! It's SOOOOO much fun. They highlighted Elicia and did a skit about her. They did a great job impersonating her. haha

Oh, we had to get people to sign her shirt. All sorts of different people. They wrote all different words of advice. I still have yet to read them all. Some appropriate, some amazingly clever.

She is on the PROWL for the last night. Her fiance always teases her because she is older than him and he calls her a Cougar. It's fitting that it's a cat on this. It was supposed to hang from the rear-view mirror but it made a better necklace.

SPRRRRRRRRRRRING

PICNIC TIME. These are my adorable sisters! We meet up last Thursday to have a picnic at the park and do a little sun tanning. Picnics are so much fun!

The ghost town.

Last weekend THE ZACH put us in his truck and took us on an adventure! We went out to A.J. and hit up a ghost town!! :) A mining ghost town. During the day it is lively with tourists and street gun shows but at night there is only 1 thing open and that is the Mammoth Saloon. BOY WAS IT LIVELY! We had a great time! There were all sorts of local old people there country dancing and a live band. It was fun and the food was amazing. I didn't feel like I was in a saloon, it was more like a dinner theatre. I would suggest it to ANYONE! :)

Here is Jakebee with his name tag, aka SUGAR

I wish it was daytime so we could see all this cool stuff. They had mining equipment all along the main road of the town.

We can take a ride on my big green tractor...

A cage? What the weird. Despite all her rage she is still just a rat in a cage.

What was so funny? you will never know.... Kara laughs, and it is fun.

Slagle came! He has officially moved out East and said we better get used to having him around. DONE AND DONE!

Are we drinking, or barfing?

I wish there was more time....

FOR NINTENDO! Some people just don't get how to play. It's NOT that hard... See below....

Yes I have grown facial hair and wear sweater vests. Now you know why I am still single. moving on,

Thats it. Thats all thats involved. You don't need to twirl the control behind your back and do a hand stand to make your avitar go forward and rescue the Princess. Just run and jump. I happen to be a fan of the old school games. Mario 1, 2, & 3, are ones that I have bought for the wii. Its simple, you just have to connect your wii to the internet and then start shopping! The next one I want to buy is Super nintendo 64 where mario runs around and dominates the castle. I haven't bought it yet because you have to use a different controller. I DREAM of the day that I buy it so I can play. You can bet I will be calling sick on that day. I will stay home and dominate bowser. ALL.DAY.LONG. It will be as the heavens have opened and its raining skittles and cheezits. Don't judge me. You all have your guilty pleasure. Whats yours?

I am a TEACHER!

My Calling in my singles ward is Relief Society Teacher! Way fun right?! I thought I was going to hate it...up until the minute that I started teaching. Sure it was SCARY and sure it took time to prepare the lesson. I am WELL aware that most girls in my ward know more than I do and that terrified me. I LOVED it though. I loved what I learned. I loved how teaching made me study, and think, and ponder, and ask questions. It created a desire within me to prepare a lesson every week. I only teach once a month but it was addicting. I found myself pondering my topic multiple times during the week leading up to the lesson. Multiple times everyday things I was doing applied to my lesson and helped me have a spiritual focus during the week. I loved that!!
If you have a desire to be better and draw closer to the spirit, prepare a talk, lesson, spiritual thought.
IT WORKS.

WARMMMMMMER

Summer is just right around the corner. Ice cream melts before you can get it in your mouth! Check out Jensen here! SUCH a cutie! I got to hang out with him a few times this weekend. What a doll!

This weekend Dallin's high school choir performed at the San Tan Village. They are on their way to California where they will board ship tomorrow morning for a cruise. Lucky kids. My high school tour was AWFUL. This is an opportunity that a lot of those kids won't get again. All the family that was there, except Buddy and Sara of course since they live in California. I think they have plans to go watch him perform in California tonight or tomorrow though.

Sunday Tyson and Kim gave WONDERFUL talks in church and I was able to go and listen and help with the kids. I was able to hold little baby Brighton during sacrament. What a doll. If his pacifier falls out he gets SOOO upset and his face gets all red and he starts squirming! haha.

I love my neices and nephews!!

Ski trip to Sunrise last weekend.

Zach and Kara rocking their cool glasses in the car next to us. They crack me up!
We went up Thursday night instead of Friday to relax a bit and turn it into a mini vacation.
We went to casa malapai east or something like that. I don't know eXACtly how to spell it. Basically its some Indian Ruins right outside of town. Pretty cool. We even got to ride a handicap bus out there. Picture of that to follow.
Here is Kara.

Here is me and lil Bro Dallin. Notice the sun dial circle behind us? It was used to tell time/dates.

Dallin has the SWEETEST new girlfriend.

Only in ALCO can you find a shirt like this. LOL. It was such a cute/depressing shirt.

Here is our handicapped van that we rode in out there.

Gotta LOVE that face!

We all know I have a thing for feet pictures... I am going to start a museum one day...

And the DAY OF SKI! It was fantastic. The weather was great. The slopes warmed up and thawed out by midday. My legs were strong and let me play all day. love love love love.

Tyrell, Kylie, Mern
Last trip I had a tramatic experience with sun - sunscreen + cold sores = a very ugly, grumpy Mern
So needless to say this time I was the masked skier.
We stopped midday for Lunch in the Lodge. The soup was MUCH needed.

I am happy for it.

Jakeb was out in the car waiting for me as I run upstairs to grab a sweater. I grab my sweater, run into the bathroom to take one last look at myself in the mirror.
It was then that I noticed the dirty countertop
the hair lining the floor
the toothpaste in the sink
the overflowing garbage
so I start to clean.
It was Thursday evening.
We were supposed to be headed out of town.
We were half an hour late.
We were going to be driving in the dark.
Did I mention Jakeb was waiting on me?
It was then that I looked myself in the mirror
and realized....
I am my mothers daughter.

Happy Monday

It's been a bit since I updated!! PHEW. Life can get so busy and its hard to decide which things to let slip out of the picture. I guess we need to practice moderation in all things, except Chocolate. Can I get an AMEN?

With work I have been trying to fit all my 40 hours into M-T so that I can have friday completely off and all to myself! It worked out GREAT last week so hopefully I can do it again this week. THIS WEEKEND IS SPECIAL. Some friends and I are heading up to the homeland to hit the ski slopes again. Remember how I went a few weeks ago and I DIDN'T die? Well to celebrate we are going back. We are all VERY excited and the friends love to visit the homeland.

I had a date this weekend. The silly man made the BIGGEST mistake. He took me out to a NICE dinner and we had a nice time! We had plans to go play some pool afterwards but he tells me he is tired and would like to go watch a movie. PERFECT, I love movies. We are in line at the movies and he asks "would you mind getting this?" I was COMPLETLY taken off guard. I stammared yes and walked up and bought BOTH of our tickets. I handed him his ticket and he says he likes to trade off paying for things. I was Flabbergasted!!

BOYS, FOR THE RECORD... It's okay to split the financial burden of dating, AFTER THE FIRST SERIES OF DATES. Mom's, PLEASE call your single dating boys and remind them of this. It's not about the money because with him being a student its guaranteed that I make more than him. It's about respect. It's about responsiblity. It's about you showing you have it together enough to provide for your girl. Don't take a girl to a $20 a plate restaurant and then ask her to pay for the movie.

If he would of asked if I could pay in the car I would have kindly suggested that I was tired and that he should just take me home. At that point there would be no point in wasting our time. Poor guy, I hope someone gives him a clue.

Texting sucks

Okay. So names have been changed to protect the NOT SO INNOCENT!!! There is this boy that I happen to like. Whenever I get around him I act all goofy and don't talk much and I feel like a basket case. Not because I am scared of what he will think of me, I just don't know what to do. I am immobile. I try to think of something to say to him and NOTHING comes out. This is unusual for me. I can usual keep it together. So I KNOW he must thing of me as some weirdo that takes a couch camping and doesn't talk much. See how little he knows??

So this boy texts me... I was excited...Till I read it.....

BOY: Random question for ya, does your roommate **** like sports? Is she dating anyone?
(Pause)
Okay, Why is he asking about my roommate? I HATE WHEN PEOPLE USE ME TO GET TO MY ROOMMATES. If there is anything that can make me feel worthless and not pretty or worth anything it is this. Plus I liked him so that HURRRRT. Roommate and I think, well if he is going to be rude and ask about your roommate, LETS ASK ABOUT HIS!! We thought it would be cheecky.

Me: She doesn't really date, But you can try. While we are on the topic of roommates, is your roommate Brian single?
(Pause) Funny right? we will show him.

BOY: Yes, I was actually asking for him.
(Pause) oh crap. I THINK that just backfired, like really really bad. He wasn't asking out my roommate and now he thinks I LIKE his roommate... If I have the slightest chance of impressing him I JUST lost it.

Me: Gee, I really have no idea where this is going.
(Pause) Speechless.

BOY: Can I have Tori's number?

Me: Yeah But she only likes friend dates, so keep it casual
(pause) I thought I would give him a friendly tip to help him out. Could this redeem myself? Just a little? Kill em with kindness?

BOY: He plans on it, Thanks

Me: Your welcome
(pause) and THATS why I had a love it size waffle cone at coldstone for lunch. You know what... It actually made me feel better. Let him think I like his roommte, I don't care. Maybe I do like his roommate just a little bit more than I like him.....
